Connecting Target

Initial setup procedure to get your Target data flowing into Muffin Data

I. Confirming Admin Access:

Requirements

Login to Partners Online

Log into Partners Online.

Go to Supplier Management

Navigate to Supplier Management (SM) Application

Click on the Contacts tab, and verify your user is listed as "Yes" within the Admin column. If not, one of the listed Admin contacts will need to proceed with setup.

II. Setting up the Integration:

Requirements

  • Admin Access to Target's Partners Online

  • Be set up as as the Vendor of Record for your branded products

    • Contact us directly if this is not this case

Overview

Getting Muffin Data access to your data is a multi-step process:

  1. Brand: Initiate a Relationship between Muffin Data and your Company (5 Min)

  2. Muffin Data: Share our contact with your (0-8 Hours)

  3. Brand: Grant our contact application & report access

  4. Muffin Data: Validate application & report access (24 Hours)

  5. Muffin Data: Request Access to 3rd Party Distributed Brands (Optional)

Step 1: Initiate a Relationship to Muffin Data

Login to Partners Online

Using an account with Admin access, log into Partners Online.

Go to Supplier Management

Navigate to Supplier Management (SM) Application

Request a Relationship

Within Supplier Management, go to the "Relationships" tab and click "Request a Relationship"

  1. Enter andres@muffindata.com as the Supplier Admin Contact email address and click "Next"


    ​

  2. On the next screen:

    1. Confirm:

      1. Muffin Data Inc is the related partner name

      2. 13MP0Uz is the relationship key.

    2. From the supplier type drop-down choose "Data Partner" then click "Submit".

*NOTIFY YOUR CSM THAT YOU HAVE COMPLETED STEP 1*

Step 2: Wait for Muffin Data to Share a Contact

This process can take up to 8 hours; we will reach out once the contact has been added and the details of the contact for the next steps.

Step 3: Grant Muffin Data Application & Report Access

Login to Partners Online

Using an account with Admin access, log into Partners Online.

Go to Supplier Management

Navigate to the Supplier Management (SM) Application

Edit Contact Details

Go to the "Contacts" tab and locate the contact provided by Muffin Data from Step 2 (the email will end in @muffindata.com).

Click the contact's name (in this case Andres Recalde) to enter the details page.

Provision System Access

Scroll to the "System Access" section and ensure that "Additional Access to Partners Online" is checked.

This section, ensure the following are checked. If you are not seeing the value in the list, try using the search bar. It's easiest to search by the full name of the access rather than the abbreviation:

  • BPD: Business Partner Data

  • EVD: Ecommerce DVS Dashboard

  • UNS: MerchIQ

  • OSA: On Shelf Availability

  • POP: Purchase Order Planning

  • PO: Purchase Order Reports

  • SPM: Supplier Performance Management

Submit

Confirm System Access and App & Report Access have been granted per the above, leave everything else as the default, and click "Save Changes"

Step 4: Validation

Muffin Data will validate we have been granted the appropriate access within 24 hours. We will reach out with next steps, if necessary.

Step 5: Request Access to 3rd Party Distributed Brands (Optional)

If necessary, Muffin Data will work with target to get access to any brands associated with your company which are distributed by a 3rd party to Target (i.e. not direct).
