Email Forwarding (Outlook)

How to set up email forwarding with Microsoft Power Automate

  1. Go to Microsoft Power Automate. Note that this is a free service included with Microsoft 365 commercial plans.

  2. Select "Create" in the top left

  3. Select "Automated Cloud Flow"

  4. Select (search if needed) "When a new email arrives (V3)". Add a Flow Name, such as "Muffin Data Email Forwarding". Select "Create".

  5. If you have not used Microsoft Power Automate before, you will likely need to Connect to your Outlook. Within the Flow, click the middle box (i.e. "When a new email arrives"), and then select "Change Connection" on the left-hand panel. Then, select "Add New" and "Sign In". Sign into your Outlook.

  6. Within the Flow, select the "+" sign. On the left-hand panel, select (search as needed) "Forward an email (V2)".

  7. Here, we will configure the To email. Within the Parameters tab, for the Message ID, select the bolt icon and select "Message ID". Within the To space, enter the To email (e.g. your-brand@email.muffindata.com). This email is provided to you within the Muffin UI; please ask your CSM if you are unsure what this email is. Settings will autosave.

  8. Last, we will set the From email. Select the "When a new email arrives (V3)" in the Flow. In the Parameters tab, select From. Then enter the From email (e.g. the email address that sends login codes).

  9. Lastly, be sure to "Save" the Flow in the top right.

You can now submit your credentials in the Muffin UI for the integration(s) requiring email forwarding!
